Returns

Returns

We want every item to arrive exactly as described, and we stand behind genuine product issues. Because our products are priced below typical suggested retail or sale pricing, all sales are final except where an item is defective, damaged in transit, or materially not as described.

Keeping discretionary returns and unnecessary shipping costs low is one of the ways we are able to continue offering our products at competitive prices.

All Sales Are Final

We do not accept returns for change of mind, buyer's remorse, ordering the wrong item, compatibility issues, difficulty using or installing a product, or simply deciding that an item is no longer wanted.

This applies whether the item is opened or unopened.

An exception may apply where the item is confirmed to be defective, damaged in transit, or materially different from the condition, contents, or description shown on the product page.

Defective Items

A statement that an item is defective does not by itself establish that a defect exists.

Customers must make a reasonable, good-faith effort to troubleshoot and confirm the reported problem. Depending on the product and issue, this may include:

  • following the manufacturer's setup and troubleshooting instructions;

  • checking relevant connections, settings, software, firmware, batteries, accessories, or installation requirements;

  • providing clear photos, video, error messages, diagnostic information, or other evidence of the problem;

  • answering reasonable troubleshooting questions from InStocky.ca; and

  • where reasonably applicable, contacting the manufacturer's technical support department and providing the resulting case number, diagnostic findings, or written confirmation of the issue.

Manufacturer technical support may be required as part of the verification process where it is reasonably available and relevant to the reported issue.

Opening a manufacturer support case, being instructed to contact the retailer, or stating that a product "does not work" does not on its own confirm that the product is defective.

If manufacturer support is unavailable or unable to assess the issue, InStocky.ca may use other reasonable methods to verify the reported defect.

We reserve the right to decline a return request where reasonable troubleshooting has not been completed or where the information provided does not reasonably demonstrate a product defect.

Not as Described

If the item received is materially different from the condition, model, contents, or description shown on the product page, please contact us with your order number and clear photos or other supporting information.

Minor packaging variations, manufacturer packaging changes, or differences that do not materially affect the product are not considered "not as described."

If we confirm that the item was materially misrepresented in the listing, we will make it right.

Shipping Damage

If your order arrives damaged in transit, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

If damage is obvious at delivery, refuse the shipment where practical. If the shipment has already been delivered, keep the item and all original packaging and provide clear photos of:

  • the damaged item;

  • the shipping carton;

  • the internal packaging;

  • the shipping label; and

  • any visible impact or damage to the package.

Do not discard the packaging until the claim has been resolved, as it may be required for a carrier investigation.

Return Authorization

Do not send an item back without first receiving return instructions from InStocky.ca.

Issuing a return authorization or return shipping label does not mean that a refund has been approved. Returned items may be inspected and tested to confirm the reported issue.

The product returned must be the same product that was originally supplied, including matching serial numbers or other identifying information where applicable.

If inspection shows that the item is functioning normally, has been damaged through misuse, improper installation, modification, neglect, or other causes unrelated to its condition when sold, the return may be refused.

Confirmed Problems

Where a genuine defect, shipping-damage claim, or material listing discrepancy is confirmed, InStocky.ca will provide an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances. This may include troubleshooting assistance, replacement, repair, refund, or another appropriate resolution.

Customers will not be charged return shipping for a confirmed issue where we determine that a return is required.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

How to Start a Claim

Contact us with:

  • your order number;

  • a clear description of the issue;

  • any relevant photos or video;

  • details of the troubleshooting already completed; and

  • any manufacturer support case number or diagnostic information, where applicable.

Providing complete information at the beginning helps us resolve genuine issues as quickly as possible.
